- to Linden Bridge
The afternoon of Friday 14th June was celebration time at Linden Bridge.
We were joined by many previous members of staff, parents, Governors, friends, local Councillor Eber Kington and our local MP Chris Grayling to help celebrate 40 years of Linden Bridge and the Grand Opening of our Zen/Sensory Garden and Forest School.
The afternoon began with guests gathering for tea, scones, biscuits and of course friendly banter in our dining hall. Moving on out into the Zen/Sensory Garden, Rachel Watt, Headteacher, gave a short address and introduced Chris Grayling. Chris has visited the school on numerous occasions, he spoke fondly of the school and the provision offered by dedicated staff before cutting the ribbon to declare the garden open.
Time to move on ........... into the main school hall. Once guests had taken their seats they were treated to a couple of numbers from the staff choir, Bum Notes. I assure you there were none!
A most enjoyable performance was given by a group of pupils, they had been practicing a number from Grease in preparation for the Epsom and Ewell Dance Festival, this was their first public appearance.
Show time over ........... We all head off to the Forest School, an exciting new outdoor learning space. Eber Kington took charge of the scissors to cut the ribbon and declare the Forest School officially open.
