Please read the information below which gives details of our Pupil and Sports Premium Grant and how we allocate the funding to ensure positive outcomes and opportunities for all our pupils.

Pupil Premium Strategy

At Linden Bridge School we are committed to ensuring that each individual pupil receives the very best education allowing them to reach the Linden Bridge School Learning Aims.

The funding received through Pupil Premium is carefully ring-fenced so that it is spent on the target group of students. Through our Senior Leadership meetings we discuss relevant targets to work on with the students receiving Pupil Premium. Funding is allocated to activities that have research-based evidence to work. All teachers and support staff know which students are eligible for Pupil Premium and take responsibility for implementing strategies to accelerate their progress. Teachers are accountable for the progress of these students. Through careful monitoring and evaluation we can show the positive impact of our spending on the outcomes for students.

Primary Sport and PE Premium Strategy

Our philosophy at Linden Bridge is focused around the 5 components; body image, posture, motor coordination, muscular fitness and cardiovascular fitness. These 5 components are the building blocks for a successful life engaged in physical activity. It is crucial to teach core skills before being engaged in team games and competitive sport. Linden Bridge Sport and PE Premium focuses on these core skills to provide pupils with the knowledge, skills and motivation necessary to equip them for a healthy, active lifestyles and lifelong participation in physical activity and sport.

Year 7 Catch Up Funding

The literacy and numeracy catch-up premium gives schools additional funding to support Year 7 pupils who did not achieve the expected standard in reading or maths at the end of key stage 2 (KS2).
