Linden Bridge School

Current Vacancies

Linden Bridge is part of the LIFT Partnership Multi Academy Trust. We are Special School in Worcester Park, Surrey for approximately 130 children and young people with complex social communication needs catering for children aged 4 to 19 years. At Linden Bridge we provide effective specialist education and support to pupils with autism and to their families, enabling pupils to achieve their full potential in education and in life.

 

Within the school grounds our pupils have access to lots of outside space, including play equipment, covered play areas, gardens and outside gym equipment. We also have an indoor swimming pool and 3 school minibuses which are in regular use by the pupils.

 

We have a small Residential Department with 16 beds in which pupils can Board during term time only.

 

Linden Bridge is a friendly school and we value all our staff members. We offer free on-site parking, free refreshments, and a comprehensive induction programme for new staff.

We are currently recruiting for the following roles:

Premises Manager

We are looking for a dynamic, self-motivated Premises Manager to maintain and develop our premises to a high standard to ensure a safe and exciting learning environment. We require a person with excellent organisational and practical skills, who can be flexible to meet the needs of the school.

 

The role will involve practical site and building maintenance, site security, health and safety compliance, swimming pool plant management, supervising outside contractors and line management of a Premises Assistant and Catering Manager.

 

This is a permanent role for 36 hours per week, 52 weeks per year, however job share applications will be considered.

 

We welcome candidates to visit the school by prior arrangement.  Please note school will be closed for the Summer holidays from 26th July to 2nd September, if you wish to make an appointment to visit prior to interview please email the school.  Visits will take place week commencing 2nd September.

 

Start Date: as soon as possible

Salary:  PS7.1 £27,099

Contract: Full time and permanent

Hours:  36 hours, 52 weeks per year.  24 days holiday rising to 28 days after 5 years service.

Premises Assistant

We are currently looking for a reliable person with a ‘can-do’ attitude to fill the post of Premises Assistant to help us maintain the school and its grounds, including the indoor swimming pool.

Working alongside the Premises Manager, the role involves ensuring the school, school grounds and other facilities are maintained to a high standard.  Regular tasks include:

  • Site cleaning such as leaf clearing, playground sweeping and some cleaning
  • Site and grounds maintenance and gardening
  • Daily swimming pool and  school mini bus checks
  • Overseeing the safe arrival and departure of students on school transport
  • Portering and setting up for school events
  • Grounds security

 

Previous DIY experience and knowledge of basic building maintenance would be an advantage.

 

This is a permanent role for 36 hours per week, 52 weeks per year. However we are happy to consider applications received for a part-time or job share role.

Part Time Residential Child Care Officer

We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and reliable person to come and join our Residential Team as a Child Care Officer.  The successful person will assist our Key Workers and provide extra support to our children and young people during their morning and evening schedule, ensuring they have a rewarding and enjoyable Boarding experience.

This is initially a fixed term contract to 31/08/2020 which may be extended subject to funding.

 

Start Date: 3rd September 2019

Salary:  PS4.6 - £10.48 per hour (FTE salary £19,677)

Contract: Part Time Fixed Term Contract 

Hours:  16 hours per week (Term time only)

Monday: 3:00pm-8:30pm

Tuesday: 7:00am-9:30am & 3:00pm-8:30pm

Wednesday: 7:00am-9:30am

Special Needs Assistant  

From September we require an enthusiastic Special Needs Assistant who is able to work in class alongside a teacher and Teaching Assistant where there is an identified need for additional pupil support.

 

We are looking for a person who will act as a positive role model  to our students and who, under direction of the class teacher, is able to support our pupil's in their progress and learning using specialised SEN strategies across the school. 

 

Previous experience in this field is an advantage but is not a requirement as we offer a comprehensive induction and training package to all new employees.

 

Start Date: September 2019

Salary:  PS3.1 £11,971 (FTE £17,316)

Contract: Full time, Fixed Term to August 2020

Hours:  29.5 hours per week, 38.6 weeks per year (Term time only)
